Under UK GDPR, you have strong rights over your personal data. We're here to help you exercise them.
Free to use.
You can exercise these rights at no cost. We won't charge you unless your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
Your rights
Right of access
You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you. We'll provide it in a portable, machine-readable format within 30 days.
Right to correction
If your data is inaccurate or incomplete, you can ask us to correct it. You can also edit most information yourself via Settings.
Right to erasure (right to be forgotten)
You can request deletion of your data. We'll comply unless we have a legal obligation to retain it (e.g., tax records, fraud prevention).
Right to data portability
You can request your data in a portable, machine-readable format (e.g., CSV, JSON) so you can move it to another service.
Right to restrict processing
You can ask us to limit how we use your data while you dispute its accuracy or object to processing.
Right to object
You can object to processing for marketing, profiling, or other purposes. We'll stop unless we have a compelling reason to continue.
Right to withdraw consent
If we're processing your data based on consent, you can withdraw it anytime. We'll stop processing, but it doesn't affect past processing.
Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe we've violated your GDPR rights, you can lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
How to exercise your rights
Self-service (easiest)
Many rights can be exercised via Settings → Data & Privacy. You can download your data, correct information, or request deletion.
Email us
Email privacy@tapinto.me with your request. Include: your name, email, and what you're requesting. We'll respond within 30 days.
Verification
We may ask for proof of identity to verify you're the account holder. This protects your privacy and security.
